No, this picture has nothing to do with the story. But it's cute!

Last night we read the story of the Three Little Pigs.  Lela was particularly excited about how the Wolf slid down the chimney into the pot of boiling water and burned his tail.  After the story was over, this conversation happened:

   "Mama, is our house a good strong house?" 

   "Yes, of course!"

   "So the Big Bad Wolf can't blow our house down?"

   "Nothing will blow our house down, sweetie." 

   "But what if the Big Bad Wolf comes down our chimney?"

   "Nothing to worry about - we don't even have a chimney!"

   "Yes we do!"

   "No, we don't.  We have a gas fire place but it doesn't have a real chimney."

   "But Mama!  Then how does Santa get in?!"

Yikes.  Well played, Lela. 

I told her Santa has magic and he can always get inside the houses where good girls and boys live.
