Four Months

Look who is four months old!  Our little Sasha seems to have grown up so much in the last few weeks!  Gone is the grumpy baby attitude. She woke up somewhere around 12 weeks and decided she was tired of fussing at us and she was going to be happy.  The best: when she's fussing in her crib and I walk in, her face lights up and she gives a huge grin and maybe a coo.  It fills your heart every time.

Sasha has made some milestones this month.  She's very chatty and likes to coo and shriek.  She and Lela have "conversations" that sound something like dolphins talking.

She has been reaching for toys and she's gotten pretty good at actually grabbing them. Just in the last week, her motor skills have developed so that she can actually grab a toy or paci and direct it into her mouth.  Did I mention that she is a chewer?  Toys, bibs, pacis, and her fists...all go into her mouth for her to chomp on.

Speaking of pacis, she has now decided that they are no longer evil/poisonous.  She doesn't like them as much as Lela did, but she can be comforted by the paci from time to time.  It helps her go to sleep when we're out and about, although she can sleep in her crib without them.  She's mesmerized (read: easily distracted) by her surroundings and sometimes we have to block out external stimuli to get her to focus on something, like eating or sleeping.

My precious girl is growing up so fast.  She's going to be huge before we know it.
