Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend! We did not have any plans ... and it was wonderful! We took Lela to a new park in the morning. She had a blast on the swing, but alas, our camera battery died so we weren't able to keep up our usual habit of documenting Lela's every waking moment.
In the afternoon, we fully embraced parenthood and blew up the inflatable pool. In the front yard. Yes, all we needed was a folding lawn chair and a couple of beers. (Actually, beers and lawn chairs would have been great).

I tried to get a photo of Lela in her cute red, white and blue outfit (thanks, Rachel and Kate!), but she was not in a modeling sort of mood. The photos all look like this:
And best/worst of all.....(this may win the award for funniest expression in any Lela pic. Doesn't she look a bit like Quasimodo?)
