Lela has started sucking her thumb. Well, she sucks all of her fingers... and her fist... and my shoulder... and pretty much anything she can fit in her mouth...but the thumb really seems to be the most satisfying.
I sucked my thumb as a child and I would twirl my hair with my free hand. I also liked twirling other peoples' hair (or fur, in the case of our Huskies) and some of my dad's favorite memories of me sitting next to him on the couch, sucking
my thumb and twirling
his hair. I wonder what adorable little habit Lela will develop that will be forever imprinted in her daddy's mind.
