Lela got her first haircut last month! Well, her first professional haircut. We all remember what happened here.
Honestly, the lady couldn't do much with her hair. She's finally grew some, but since it's curly (yes, curly!?), it kind of sticks out all over the place with a mind of its own. Also, she has two giant cowlicks that cause her bangs to grow crazily into the middle of her forehead. This unfortunate problem was exacerbated by Grandma Connie's recent bang trim (i.e. hatchet job) undertaken while Babak and I were in San Diego last month. Yes, Grandma Connie never met a set of bangs she didn't want to trim within an inch of their lives. Quite literally, an inch. As in, an inch was all that was left of Lela's hair when we returned from the airport. But I guess that's the price we pay for leaving Lela with the grandparents so we could enjoy a lovely weekend away with our friends. Thanks, guys!
Look at these curls!
She got to ride in a car and watch Elmo videos during the cut. Pretty cool.
Honestly, her hair doesn't look much different after the haircut. But she's pretty adorable no matter what her hair looks like!
