Our neighborhood has a great Fourth of July celebration every year. The kids decorate their bikes (or, in our case, tricycles) and have a "parade" from the tennis courts all the way to the swimming pool for the pool party. Disasters permitting, the parade is led by the local fire department. Lela and Emma led the parade!
After the pool party, a group of us headed over to Amy and Greg's house. Lela is friends with their two little girls, Avery (5) and Harper (2). While the adults were enjoying some fourth of July cocktails, the kids decided to play dress up and marched into the kitchen thusly:
