Reading

Lela has been interested in letters for the last year and she's been able to "spell" words by sound for a few months.  For example: DOG is duh duh D! ow oww O! gah gah gah G! When reading books, we try to ask her if she can sound out a word or two every couple of pages.  But recently, Babak brought home a set of these easy reader books.  And behold:



Now, she had read one of the other books about Mat and Sam so these words weren't entirely new. But, I swear this was the first time she opened this particular book.  SHE IS STILL THREE!  I definitely wasn't reading at 3, right Grandma Connie?  Little smarty pants.
