And we now have video evidence of WALKING! Lela is walking more and more every day. Some babies are naturally cautious and prefer to wait until they have rock-solid balance before setting off. Lela is not one of those kids. She just gets up and goes. And yes, she has plenty of bruises to show for it. You know, we completely baby-proofed our house but you just can't protect against the crazy barely-walking toddler who will launch her head straight into the edge of the table leg.
Sometimes, it seems that Lela is trying to run before she can walk. She takes these little flutter steps as her feet try to keep up with the momentum of her giant head and super-sized enthusiasm. It kind of reminds me of those lizards that run on water that you see on the Discovery Channel.
And yes, Lela is wearing a whole lot of stripes that don't particularly match. What can I say - it was a Sunday and we never even left the house.
