Sasha is one month old! It's amazing how quickly time flies. At one month, she is slowly starting to figure out her days and nights. She is a happy baby in the morning and in the middle of the night, but she goes through a feeding frenzy period in the evenings. From roughly 5-10pm every night, Sasha likes to feed and be held constantly...or else she lets you know her disappointment. Such a drama queen! Her expressions give the clear indication that whatever you are doing (putting her down in a swing or bouncer; temporarily cutting off milk access; attempting to let anyone other than Mommy hold her) has TOTALLY RUINED HER LIFE. She's definitely a little fussier than Lela was as a baby, but I think that means she just has a strong sense of self. She knows what she likes and what she doesn't!
It's been wonderful to see how much Lela is in love with her baby sister. She tells everyone that Sasha is "her" baby. She hasn't had a moment of jealousy and she takes every opportunity to hug and kiss her baby. I have such wonderful dreams of the girls growing up to be the best of friends. Or at least, as close as sisters can be. Is that too much to hope that this love-fest continues?
