Fall fun

Our neighborhood had an awesome Fall Festival this year.  In addition to cotton candy, face painting and balloon animals (or hats), there was a bouncy house and two live bands.  And for the adults, several food trucks, BYOB, and hanging out with friends.  After dark, there was a posse of 3-6 year old groupies who clustered in front of the stage and danced madly to the music.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any good pictures of the action but it was awesome.

The next weekend on our usual family outing to drive-through Starbucks, we allowed some liberties with Lela's chosen outfit.  Yes, she is wearing a fairy costume over her pajamas along with crocs and a pink streak in her hair.  But honestly, we were just going through the drive-through and what's the big deal?

But then we decided to stop at Whole Foods and buy a pumpkin.  Only they were having some sort of pumpkin festivities at the Whole Foods, so we wound up staying for an hour.  Lela got to paint and paste stickers all over her pumpkin of choice.

And then got her face painted.

Actually, I think her outfit made the event that much more fun.  Viva creativity!
