Behold.......Lela is mobile. And the blog moves to video.



Lela lost interest in crawling for a while after she learned to sit. But this weekend, she regained her crawling mojo and the girl is now mobile! She moved in fits and spurts for the last week, but on Sunday she realized that she could pull herself towards a desirable object and a whole new world opened up! And she is a quick learner. By Tuesday, she was pulling herself all over the place. She's not on all fours - she prefers the army crawl (or sea lion walk as I weirdly described it in the video).

And now this starts a whole new era in child care - gone are the easy days of putting my baby down in one spot and knowing that she can't get into trouble if I turn my back. I admit, my excitement faded a bit about an hour after this video was shot when she pulled herself over to a trash can and spilled dirty diapers all over the floor.
