Meet Louise. She is my father's godmother. She is also 103. Yes, 103.Louise was born 102 years before Lela. It boggles the mind to think of what a different world Louise was born into.
And almost more amazing...Louise is still one of the sharpest old ladies around. She only recently gave up living alone and moved into an assisted living facility. She gave up her drivers license only 3 or so years ago. She writes letters, makes decisions about her estate and affairs, remembers the tiniest details of her inspiring and fascinating life, and picks up just about everything that is going on around her. She definitely enjoyed meeting Lela. As she described it, a baby's smile makes everyone happy.
