Thanksgiving

Yes, it was a while ago.

We were in New York for Thanksgiving, but didn't want to miss out on the yummy festivities, so we opted to cook a Thanksgiving feast a week early. Babak, Emily, Lela and Uncle Leshaw...one big happy family.

We divided labor. I made the sweet potatos and the pumpkin pie. Babak and Ryan made the stuffing and the turkey. They were REALLY into the preparation, researching the perfect turkey-cooking method for weeks. As demonstrated here:

Yes, they are injecting the turkey with syringes Babak borrowed from the hospital. While their methods may be unorthodox, they result was an awesomely juicy turkey.

We were so excited to eat that we didn't get pictures of the finished product. Lela enjoyed her first real Thanksgiving meal. Well, she wanted more stuffing.
